About Mr. Magnus
AUTHOR/MOTIVATOR
Kay El Magnus
For many years, he has spent his nights writing short stories, books, and even fiction novels to be released in the near future.
Buying two Parakeets as a gift for his firstborn child Alexandria inspired him to create the first volume of The Adventures of Darla and Mickey series, and which also led him to devote his full attention to his career as an author.
As a multi-genre author, his mission is to ensure that children and adults receive a healthy and high-quality reading experience that is enjoyable, educational and equally inspiring.
As a man of many talents to share with the world, I’d also like to share some cool facts about myself:
I was born in the beautiful city of Chicago.
My wonderful Mommy and Me!
The marvelous and magnificent Windy City herself. Isn’t she a beaut?
When I was younger, I used to be scared of the dark.
(Actor playing scared little K.L. is my son. Very convincing, great job dude!)
Now I believe, I Am The Dark ๐
I have three special items/heirlooms that are almost as old as me!
Lucite Cube (circa 1980)
My Mother purchased this particular item while we were traveling on a train together. Very cool.
I always wondered how they got those pennies in there (and I still would like to know).
Plastic drinking cup (circa 1985)
My Grandmother bought three identical cups from a restaurant called White Castle for my auntie, my cousin and me.
I held onto mine and toย this day, it’s the only cup I use (unless it’s something really hot!)
Souvenir Japanese Daito (circa 198?)
I acquired this nifty item from my Uncle who toured Japan while in the Marine Corps.
My cousins and I practiced so much with the sheath that it actually looks like its been through wars! Ancient, Bushido wars… ๐
My favorite type of books: Self-Help
These are probably the oldest ones in my collection.
The true beauty of Self-Help books is that they are applicable for generations to come, and you can always revisit them if need be.
(On a side note, Les Brown has always been one of my favorite motivational speakers).
I Love to Create and Inspire!

“Every person on the Planet has something unique about them, something only they are capable of doing, something they yearn to share with the world. And that specialness within you, will Inspire others to share their unique gifts with the world as well.
Recognize it, Reveal it, Revere it and Rejoice!”
